Lubbock County is getting its first-ever IT director.

Isaac Badu will oversee the county's information and technology systems and lead the conversion from K-Corp to Tyler Technologies.

"Just his background, his history, his knowledge that he has, his personality seems to fit very well with Lubbock county, and so he stood out as the perfect candidate," commissioner Patti Jones said.

Badu started his IT career in the Air Force pulling cable. He currently serves as IT director for the City of Rosenburg.
