LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas -

The Lubbock County Commissioner's Court tables the agenda item discussing a company hired to operate the Medical Examiner's office during Monday's meeting.

The item states the court would review an agreement with NAAG pathology labs, P.C., a company hired by the court in September 2018.

According to public information officer Lt. Bryan Witt, The Texas Rangers were requested by the Lubbock District Attorney's office to investigate allegations against the Lubbock County medical examiners office. The Rangers will release all investigative findings to the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office once the investigation is complete.

Lubbock County Judge Curtis Parrish said the county has no comment at this time because it is an ongoing investigation.
