Hart ISD educator arrested for improper relationship with student

The Castro County Sheriff's office reported that an investigation into allegations of an improper relationship between educator and students was turned into the District Attorney's office. An arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect, Elida Celeste Bonilla, 23, of Dimmitt.

Bonilla turned herself into the Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 and was charged with a Second Degree Felony of Improper Relationship between an educator and student. 

The arrest stemmed from an investigation and report made by Hart ISD Superintendent David Cox on December 21, 2018. 

Bonilla was arraigned by Castro County Justice of the Peace, Flip Taylor, and the bond was set at $15,000. She posted bond and was released from jail.
