No resolution yet on Reagor-Dykes customers' unpaid TT&L, trade-in liens

LUBBOCK, Texas -

For Reagor-Dykes customers who either have unpaid tax, title and license or an unpaid trade-in balance, they will have to wait a little longer for resolution.

As we've reported recently, Reagor-Dykes states since it filed for bankruptcy Aug. 1, its access to credit and funds has been cut off, leaving these balances unpaid. A couple months later, many customers still have vehicles that cannot be registered or request for payments on vehicles they no longer possess.

The legal team for Reagor-Dykes met Thursday with attorneys for many of the lenders that filed objections to a request for lenders to pay off these balances. An agreement was not reached, but an attorney for Reagor-Dykes said progress has been made.

A hearing on the issue is scheduled for Oct. 29, allowing all parties to iron out an agreement. If some lenders still object, an attorney for Reagor-Dykes said a separate hearing could be arranged on the disputed issues.

Also during the hearing the court accepted an operating budget through December 1st for the Auto Group as long as Ford Credit's attorneys are given an emergency hearing should an issue arise.

Several issues brought by the dozen or so attorneys representing interested parties were passed to later hearings in November.
