Driver struck telephone pole, taken to hospital with moderate injuries

LUBBOCK, Texas -

At around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, a single vehicle crash occurred in the area of 13th street and Slide Road. 

According to the crash report a Ford Expedition was traveling north on Slide through the intersection at 13th street and failed to stay in a single lane. 

The SUV veered to the right and struck an electric box, a utility pole, and then a fire hydrant.

Driver, 52, was taken by ambulance to the hospital with moderate injuries.
