Plane crash kills two in Parmer County

PARMER COUNTY, Texas -

An airplane crashed Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. in Parmer County, eight miles west of Friona.

The aircraft failed to return after taking off from owners residence and was last seen about 8:30 p.m. in flight west of Friona. 

A 911 call was placed at 10:43 p.m. reporting the aircraft missing.  A ground search was conducted that included numerous agencies.  DPS Aircraft #109 located a crash site.

Both occupants of the aircraft were deceased. 

 The two occupants have been identified as Clayton Sides, 25, of Dimmitt and Thomas Jacob Hefner, 25, of Bovina
